Afraid of Needles?

The truth is nobody gets acupuncture because they love needles. People are often apprehensive when they come the first time. If you are nervous, or even downright scared, it’s okay.

As an acupuncturist, I’m used to working with people who don’t know what to expect when they arrive, so I’ve gotten very good at putting them at ease. Before we begin, we have a chance to talk about why you’ve come and get to know each other a little. I will explain thoroughly what I’m about to do, and answer all your questions. I see one client at a time, so my attention is never divided.

Acupuncture needles are many times thinner than a needle you would get at the doctor’s office, so tiny that you may not even feel them go in. Once they’re in, clients rest and let them do their work, often enjoying a pleasant doze.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture can be so effective that even the most nervous first-timer can become acupuncture’s biggest fan after experiencing the results of this ancient treatment.
